WebSafety, Inc., an online software provider for mobile phone applications, has created a patent pending software that can disable phones when it senses cyber bullying. The program is designed that when cyber bullying is detected, the program can disable the child’s ability to send and receive texts.
The program alerts parents if it senses that a child is receiving vulgar or derogatory text messages. The program can also prevent children from texting and driving. The program will cost $5.99 a month. Rowland W. Day II, CEO of WebSafety, stated that parents spend over $5.99 on Starbucks Coffee in a week. He believes that parents should value their children more than their coffee.
