On June 4th, after a 3-month investigation, Oracle Lynn Parra of Delhi was arrested and charged for three counts of cyberbullying. She is believed to be the page administrator of a series of slanderous Facebook pages sporting the name “real blaster.” The Facebook pages allowed youths to send messages to the page administrator, who then proceeded to post the messages under the name of the page, therefore allowing many profane and slanderous posts to be posted online anonymously. If Parra is convicted of these counts, each charge of cyberbullying can amount to a penalty of six months in jail, a fine up to $500, or even both.
