Happy Monday PV fans! Today we want to start off the week with an important awareness cause. October is Bullying Prevention Awareness month. This cause deserves attention because kids suffer from this sad reality everyday at school and at home.

30% of U.S. students in grades six through ten are involved in moderate or frequent bullying – as bullies, as victims, or as both – according to the results of the first National School Bullying Statistics and Cyberbullying statistics survey on this subject. School bullying and cyberbullying are increasingly viewed as an important contributor to youth violence, including homicide and suicide. The organization that we work with is the End To Cyber Bullying Organization. Learn more about this important cause below.

The End to Cyber Bullying (ETCB) Organization was founded in 2011 to raise global awareness on cyberbullying, and to mobilize youth, educators, parents, and others in taking efforts to end cyberbullying. What started off as a grounds-root movement in New York has triggered a global awareness campaign and has since developed into one of the largest youth-driven initiatives in the world.

Now a federally certified 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, ETCB has reached and brought together over 4.5 million individuals across the globe with over 1,200 volunteers, establishing initiatives in not just the US, but in nations such as China, Great Britain, Australia, Canada, and more. From presenting to school assemblies and assisting over 2,500 cyberbullying victims, to working hand-in-hand with government officials, and appearing on national TV and media outlets – ETCB has been a platform for students to lead, educate, and be the change.
