On July 12, 2014, Selena Gomez posted a picture of her response to bullying on her Instagram account. The photo was captioned “Honestly, I don’t speak up much because it’s simply *always* taken out of context. But I don’t take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything.”

While the original comment and the user’s account has been deleted, from what Selena Gomez wrote, the comment was related to the topic of cancer.
In response, Selena wrote that the comment the user left was “absurd” and highlighted her own struggles in bullying with fans and family members. Toward the end, Selena told the user to “educate yourself(sic) a tad more,” and concluded her message with “Be an amazing woman. You’re beautiful.”
Kudos to Selena Gomez for standing up for what is right!
